Is Sailornet an insurance policy?

No. Sailornet is a subscription boating assistance service. Services are provided within the limits and under the terms of the General Terms and Conditions.

How do I request assistance?

You can call the 24-hour Operations Centre or use the Sailornet App for recovery and diver-dispatch requests. You will be asked for your position, your boat details and information about the problem.

How long does the recovery vessel take to arrive?

Requests are taken by the 24-hour Operations Centre. Arrival time depends on distance, vessel availability, weather and sea conditions, the required authorisations and the local operating situation. There is therefore no fixed time that applies to every intervention.

Where is the boat taken?

With Porto Sicuro the boat is brought back to its home port. With Sottocosta and Mare Aperto it is recovered to the nearest suitable port, under the General Terms and Conditions.

When is diver dispatch included?

The service covers removing a rope from the propeller and recovering or freeing a fouled anchor. The first hour of labour is included within the contract limits.

Where is the coverage valid?

Coverage applies in the Mediterranean areas set out in the General Terms and Conditions. The limit in nautical miles depends on the plan you choose.
